Privacy Policy

The short version: LearnPlayKnow has no accounts and no sign-in. Your name, team name and game progress never leave your device. The only things that can ever be sent to us are ones you deliberately opt into: turning on update notifications, or typing an email address into the optional mailing list box.

What we collect

By default, nothing. LearnPlayKnow has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. Playing the game sends nothing anywhere.

Two optional features do involve sending something, and both require you to tap a button first:

Update notifications. If you choose to turn them on, your device provides an anonymous notification token. A token identifies a device, not a person — it carries no name, email or location — and we use it only to send occasional announcements about app updates and new questions. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and the token stops working.
The mailing list. If the email box is shown and you choose to type an address in and submit it, we store that address to send occasional news about the app. Nothing else is collected with it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

We never sell, rent or share either of these with anyone, and we do not use them for advertising.

What is stored on your device

The app saves the following in your device's local storage so it remembers you between sessions:

The display name you type in
Your optional team name
Your chosen sport, level and difficulty, and which opponent you picked
How many games you have played and which sports you subscribe to

This information never leaves your device. We cannot see it. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser's site data, erases it permanently.

Children's privacy

LearnPlayKnow is designed for players, coaches and families, including children. We do not ask for a date of birth, a phone number, a photograph, a location or any other personal detail. The display name and team name are free-text fields shown only on the user's own device — players are free to use a nickname.

The optional mailing list is addressed to a parent or guardian, is never required to play, and is not presented as something a child needs to complete. We do not knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted an address, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Their privacy policies govern that transaction:

Third parties

LearnPlayKnow includes no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking or social media SDKs. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change ships and the date above will change.

This website

This site is a plain static website. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request as part of serving the font file. Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs, as all web hosts do.

Data deletion

To remove everything LearnPlayKnow has stored on your device, uninstall the app or clear the site data for this website in your browser settings. To have a mailing list address deleted, or to stop notifications entirely, contact us — or turn notifications off in your device settings, which takes effect immediately.

Changes to this policy

Any future version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
