Plain English: LearnPlayKnow is an educational game. Use it, enjoy it, don't copy it wholesale or resell it, and don't rely on it as the official rule book for your league.
Acceptance
By using the LearnPlayKnow app or this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use them. If you're under 18, use LearnPlayKnow with a parent or guardian's permission.
What LearnPlayKnow is
LearnPlayKnow is an educational game about sports fundamentals and rules. It is a teaching tool, not an official rules publication and not a substitute for coaching, training or medical advice.
Rules accuracy
Questions follow published conventions from the recognised governing bodies for each sport. Rule sets differ by level and by organisation, and local leagues modify them frequently — run limits, home run caps, mercy rules, contact ages and game lengths vary widely. Always play by the rule book your league actually operates under. LearnPlayKnow makes no warranty that any answer matches the interpretation used in any particular game, league or jurisdiction.
Safety
Nothing in LearnPlayKnow should be treated as instruction for performing a physical skill without qualified coaching and appropriate equipment. Contact sports carry inherent risk. Where the app discusses safety rules — tackle height, checking ages, heading limits, concussion protocol — it describes published guidance and is not medical advice.
Subscriptions
Each sport is a separate auto-renewing subscription, billed through the App Store or Google Play at the price shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your store account settings. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policies, not by us.
The first full game in every sport is free and requires no purchase.
Acceptable use
You may not copy, redistribute, resell, reverse engineer or create derivative works from LearnPlayKnow's question content or software, or use it to build a competing product. You may of course use what you learn however you like — that's the entire point.
Intellectual property
The LearnPlayKnow name, the sport pack names, the question content, the explanations and the software are owned by LearnPlayKnow. Sports, leagues and governing bodies named in the app are the property of their respective owners and are referred to only descriptively.
No affiliation
LearnPlayKnow is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USA Softball, Little League Baseball, the National Federation of State High School Associations, USA Hockey, US Youth Soccer, World Rugby, the USTA, the NCAA, or any professional league.
Disclaimer and liability
LearnPlayKnow is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date, and continuing to use LearnPlayKnow after that means you accept them.
